Baldur Kubo

Baldur Kubo is an accomplished project manager at Cybernetica, responsible for leading research and development in information security and bringing innovative products to international markets since September 2013. In addition to this role, Baldur Kubo has served as a consultant, overseeing the DevOps of an auditing solution in AWS, conducting over 5000 audits for customers in the UK and Ireland. Previous experience includes a tenure as Assistant Governor at Rotary International District 1420, a ScrumMaster at STACC, and CEO of Resta Ltd., where substantial contributions were made to the IT sector and international market expansion.
Jesper Simonsen
Roskilde University, Professor, Department of People and Technology Programming, Logic and Intelligent Systems
With a master’s degree from Roskilde University and doctoral experience at Stanford University and Xerox PARC, Jesper has spent four decades leading collaborative IT design projects across healthcare, public services, and academia. Author of over 160 publications — including two landmark Routledge handbooks on Participatory Design (2013; 2025) and a foundational MIT Press volume (2004) — he has collaborated with the Danish healthcare system since 2004 and organises annual international PhD courses with partners from the Nordic countries, Estonia, and Italy.
Jaan Aru
Tartu University, Institute of Computer Science, Associate Professor in Computational Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence
An Associate Professor at the Institute of Computer Science, University of Tartu, Estonia, Jaan works at the intersection of cognitive science, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence — spanning topics from cellular-level neuroscience and consciousness to artificial neural networks and virtual reality. Beyond the lab, he has been actively engaged in science communication since 2012, authoring popular science books on the brain and creativity, and delivering TEDx talks on consciousness, sleep, and creativity in education.
Aleksei Tepljakov
Tallinn University of Technology, Senior Researcher – Centre for Intelligent Systems, Department of Computer Systems
A researcher whose primary expertise lies in cyber-physical systems, with strong additional skills in software development, web infrastructure, and system design. His research spans the modelling and control of complex dynamical systems — including fractional-order systems — digital twins in eXtended Reality for educational and industrial applications, and Genetic Programming for complex system identification. A recognised voice in his field, he has delivered keynote and invited talks at major international venues including EuroVR 2019, TSP2021, and ECC2023, among others.
Panayiotis Zaphiris
Cyprus University of Technology, University Rector, Professor
A Professor in the Multimedia and Graphic Arts Department and Rector at CUT. He holds a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from Wayne University and degrees in Engineering Systems and Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. His research focuses on HCI, participatory design, and the social aspects of ICTs. He has contributed to over 16 funded research projects and has published over 250 academic articles in international journals and conferences.
